For over 50 years, Hume Studies has been publishing important, original, peer reviewed work bearing on the life and thought of Scots Philosopher, Historian, and Economist David Hume (1771–76). The journal is receptive to a wide variety of methods and approaches in fields including philosophy, history, psychology, economics, politics, and religion, provided the work contributes to the understanding of Hume’s thought, meets the highest standards of scholarship and demonstrates mastery of Hume’s writings and the pertinent secondary literature. Submissions are accepted in English, French, German, and Spanish. There are no submission or author fees. Hume Studies is issued twice yearly and distributed to institutional library subscribers and all members of the Hume Society. Volumes prior to the five most recent are openly accessible through the Society’s website.
